Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of 'The Country Club,' a wry comedy by Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane, on Monday, June 22, at 7 p.m., followed by a post-performance 'Meet the Cast' reception in the courtyard. Director is Anne Keefe, Playhouse associate artist and curator of the playreading series. Tickets are $20 each.

Playwright A. R. ("Pete") Gurney, one of the most-produced playwrights in the history of Westport Country Playhouse, was celebrated for his body of work at the theater's one-night-only fundraising gala, "A Perfect Party: A Gala Evening Honoring A. Primary Stages Einhorn School of Performing Arts has announced casting for its ESPA Drills Reading Series this August. ESPA Drills is an annual new play development program providing staged readings to four playwrights. The plays are workshopped under the guidance of the ESPA staff and will be presented before an audience of industry peers Off-Broadway at The Duke on 42nd Street.
Anne Berlin is pleased to present a reading of Mark Jason Williams' A Man's Man, directed by Valentina Fratti, May 17th at 1pm at The Paradise Factory as part of the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity.
