Pegasus Theatre's 29th YOUNG PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL Kicks Off 1/1

Pegasus Theatre Chicago shines the spotlight on the next generation of authors at its 29th YOUNG PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL, featuring three world premiere works written by Chicago high school students and staged in a professional production. This year's festival will play January 1 - 23, 2016 at Chicago Dramatists, 1105 W. Chicago Ave. in Chicago. Tickets are currently available at www.PegasusTheatreChicago.org or by calling Ovation Tickets at (866) 811-4111. The press opening is Monday, January 4 at 7 pm.

Strawdog theatre Company Opens BIG LOVE, 4/18

Strawdog Theatre Company concludes their 25th anniversary season with Big Love by Charles L. Mee, directed by Strawdog Artistic Associate Matt Hawkins, April 18 - May 25, at the Strawdog Theatre, 3829 North Broadway Street. Preview performance tickets are $15 with performances Thursday, April 18,, Friday, April 19 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 21 at 4 p.m. There is a board preview benefit performance, Saturday, April 20 at 7 p.m., with $50 tickets that include access to a post-performance reception. Opening Night is Monday, April 22 at 8 p.m. The performance schedule is Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. Tickets are $28 with group, senior and student discounts available. The Ruckus Theater is making some noise with its upcoming world premiere production of Little Triggers by Daniel Caffrey, directed by Ruckus Artistic Director Allison Shoemaker. Martin battles an office full of malevolent puppets as he navigates the terrors of his office job and his creative writing. Kevin Lambert stars as the office hero, alongside a cast of Chicago theater favorites and Ruckus regulars. Little Triggers is performed at The Side Project Theatre January 12-Feburary 12, 2012.
