Last night, guests and celebrities celebrated the opening night of BACK TO THE FUTURE The Musical at the Adelphi Theatre, with a pre-show drinks reception at the Corinthia hotel.

The Grammy Award-winner will be joined by Megan Thee Stallion, Caroline Polachek, and Lolo Zouaï. See when she's coming to your city!

Tony and Grammy® award-winning, and two-time Academy Award nominated singer and actor Leslie Odom, Jr. will host THE TONY AWARDS PRESENT: BROADWAY’S BACK! from 9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT. Earlier in the evening will be the live presentation of the American Theatre Wing’s 74th Annual Tony Awards live at 7:00 PM, ET/4:00 PM, PT, hosted by Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award-winning actor and singer Audra McDonald.

Hunter Theater Project presents an Independent Theater Production of WHAT HAPPENED?: THE  MICHAELS ABROAD, a world premiere play and the final in the Rhinebeck Panorama, written and directed by Tony Award winner Richard Nelson.

Ma Rainey's Black Bottom is one of ten of August Wilson's productions about the African American experience. Ma Rainey depicts the life of the famous blues singer, Gertrude 'Ma' Rainey, and Black Bottom is one of the songs she made famous. BNS Productions, based in Charlotte, NC, did an excellent job of bring this awesome work the the stage...with a twelve day running from August 11-22. It was sold-out many nights. So, as a result of its awesomeness, it is returning on September 12 for an encore performance.

Based on the 1991 Warner Brothers film, DOGFIGHT takes audiences on a romantic and heartbreaking theatrical journey that stays with you long after the performance. 

Straight White Men by Korean American playwright Young Jean Lee is a hilarious and revealing play about the most unoppressed of this world’s peoples.   

With rehearsals now underway, the producers of the critically-acclaimed, Olivier Award-winning production of Jesus Christ Superstar announced today complete casting for the return of the 50th Anniversary North American tour.

East West Players, in partnership with San Francisco’s EnActe Arts and New York City’s Hypokrit Productions, presents the virtual world premiere of Lavina Jadhwani’s THE SITAYANA (OR HOW TO MAKE AN EXIT) beginning September 25, 2021. Lavina’s updated, upending take on the Hindu epic The Ramayana recounts the story through Sita’s eyes, rather than Ram’s eyes as in the original. Audiences attending the livestreams will be given a choice to one of the three unique incarnations of Sita. Had the chance to pose a few questions to THE SITAYANA’s director Reena Dutt on her history with THE SITAYANA and what she’s been doing the last pandemic months to keep creatively sane.  

OneOff Award and two-time OnComm award-winning The Show Must Go Online have announced the full cast for their upcoming livestreamed reading of The Two Noble Kinsmen by William Shakespeare and John Fletcher. The production is the Season Finale of The Show Must Go Online before entering a chrysalis period.

The festival has more than 425 in-person and online performances and events ranging from comedy, dance, kids' fringe, and multidisciplinary shows, to music, spoken word, theatre, and visual art & film.

Olivier and Tony Award-winning producer David Pugh has announced that he will be presenting the Tron Theatre Glasgow, the Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh and Blood of the Young's production of Pride & Prejudice* (*sort of) by Isobel McArthur after Jane Austen at the Criterion Theatre for an open-ended run.

Boston Ballet Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen announces the 2021–2022 season roster. After successfully employing the full Company of dancers during the 2020–2021 virtual season, this season a total of 63 dancers comprise the Company roster, with 51 in the main company and 12 in Boston Ballet II (BBII), Boston Ballet's second company. 

The event, hosted by Rabbi Lydia Medwin (The Temple) and Rev. John Vaughn (Ebenezer Baptist Church), will feature performances by Crys Matthews, Heather Mae, Jesus The Dinosaur, Justin Nash Fisher and Dr. Patrice Turner, with speaker Welesiah Wilson (New Life - Second Chance Outreach) and Estrella Sanchez (Community EsTr(El/La)).

Nominations are now open for the 2021 BroadwayWorld Charlotte Awards! Streaming theatre, in-person, and more are included. Deadline for submissions is October 31st, 2021.

Twenty artists have been confirmed to perform on Wales Millennium Centre's incredible Donald Gordon Theatre stage in what will be a more intimate edition of the festival this year  - from established international acts to emerging artists spanning multiple genres and styles.
