Casting has been announced for the North American tour ofTINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL. The tour will hold technical rehearsals and launch at  the Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence, Rhode Island on September 11, 2022 and go on to  visit 30 cities in its first year.

The Hope Theatre has announced its 2022 autumn season. Brimming with premieres, new writing and originality, the programme cements The Hope Theatre's position as a hub for innovation and contemporary theatre-making. The season includes a UK professional premiere of award-winning American playwright Jen Silverman's (A Play in 5 Betties, Southwark Playhouse) dark comedy The Moors. 

The regional premier of A House is Not A Home, winner of the 2022 Playwright's Festival, will be performed at Matthews Playhouse of the Performing Arts August 19-28, 2022.

Ahead of the newly announced fall dates, the band will embark on an eight-show run with The Wood Brothers that kicks off on August 11, and in September Greensky will perform two nights at Colorado's iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre. To round out the year the band will host a special two-night night New Year's Eve run in Atlanta at The Tabernacle.

Led by ebullient guitarist Marcos Mena, the pair boast a fruitful combination of musical chops and catchy guitar-driven melodies which has garnished popularity among fans who laud standards for their uniquely danceable brand of complex instrumental rock. Pop singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Jake Scott has announced his massive fall headline tour across the U.S. Dubbed The Lavender Tour, the 21-date trek kicks off on Saturday, October 15 in San Diego and hits major cities including Nashville, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, New York, and more before concluding in Los Angeles.

Bold programming pays off with an opera that has its demands but offers rewards in equal measure

Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester is to stage the UK theatrical premiere of the Broadway musical version of Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella. Jacob Fowler will play Prince Topher opposite the recently announced Grace Mouat, who plays Ella.

On Saturday, July 23rd, I had the pleasure of seeing a truly first-rate production, a phenomenal performance of one of the greatest musicals ever written!  Musicals at Richter, in Danbury, continues with their legacy of providing audiences what we yearn for in live theater, the right shows with the right cast.  Rodgers and Hammerstein’s THE SOUND OF MUSIC was the perfect show to see outdoors on this lovely July night. Under the excellent direction of Jessica Smith, musical direction of Adam Snyder, and choreography of Lindsay Miller, this stellar cast truly made the hills come alive, on this new stage featuring a stunning set designed by John McMahon, complete with moveable pieces. The cast members radiate positive energy from the stage, truly entertaining the audience, and having fun playing their roles!

The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals will take place in person in New York City for the first time since 2019 at Theatre Row on Monday, July 25th. Tickets for The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals 2022 performance will be offered exclusively through a lottery system.

We may have underestimated Cheri and Bill Steinkellner's musical adaptation of Paul Rudnick's SISTER ACT screenplay, moving the action from Vegas to Philly and making the show more character-driven. It actually works better on the smaller community theater stage at Matthews Playhouse than the big stage productions we've previously seen.

The company of the new musical comedy, The Last Supper, is getting ready for performances at South Orange Performing Arts Center, where the show will run July 27 through August 7.
