The Walt Disney Theater at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts has been transformed into Whoville this week as it welcomed Dr. Seuss' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS: THE MUSICAL to the Orlando area. North Carolina Theatre, the region's premiere nonprofit professional regional theatre producing Broadway musical revivals, is thrilled to announce Broadway couple Hunter Foster and Jennifer Cody will lead the February 2016 production of Grease as Director and Choreographer respectively. The power couple starred together in the 1994 Tony®-nominated Broadway revival of Grease for several years, during which the two were married. NC Theatre's production of Grease runs February 9-14, 2016 in Raleigh Memorial Auditorium at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts.

Ever since the success of Disney's The Lion King, Disney Theatricals have been trying to catch lightning in a bottle a second time. After the original production of Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID closed on Broadway in 2009 (after a run of 685 performances), it underwent two years of intensive work to fine-tune and re-think the production. In 2014, Theatre Under The Stars produced this current revised version which includes new scenery and new costumes as well as flying.

Paper Mill Playhouse will offer this special autism-friendly performance of Elf today, December 23, at 1:30pm. This performance is designed specifically for children on the autism spectrum or with other developmental disabilities.
Paper Mill Playhouse released a block of great seats today for its holiday musical, Elf, for the week following Christmas. Expanded availability includes performances from December 27, 2014 through January 4, 2015. Based on the 2003 film starring Will Ferrell, Elf has a book by Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin, music by Matthew Sklar and lyrics by Chad Beguelin. Elf is directed by Eric Ankrim and choreographed by Josh Rhodes. Elf runs eight times a week at the Millburn, New Jersey, theater through January 4, 2015. Elf has been playing to many sold-out houses since November 26.
