The Grand Ole Opry® presented by Humana® is set to celebrate its 93rd birthday with an annual Birthday Bash and a special birthday concert by Opry and Country Music Hall of Fame member Charley Pride at 3 PM Sat., Oct. 13 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, TN. The Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient made his Opry debut in 1967, charted 36 No. 1 singles, sold over 70 million records, and this year marks his 25th Anniversary as a Grand Ole Opry member. Country Music Hall of Fame member and Recording Academy 'Lifetime Achievement Award' recipient Charley Pride celebrated his 25th Anniversary as a Grand Ole Opry member with appearances on the Opry this weekend. Pride, who made his Opry debut in 1967, performed extended Opry sets in celebration of his milestone anniversary. Opry flagship station 650 AM WSM (wsmonline.com) saluted the award-winning artist with a “Country Pride Weekend.”

The Grand Ole Opry®, the show that made country music famous, will stage its first-ever show from the famed Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, TN on Sun., June 10 featuring Opry members Bobby Bare, Del McCoury Band, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Riders In The Skyas well as Brothers Osborne, LANCO, Nikki Lane, Lucie Silvas, and more. The Nashville-based Opry has rarely in its 92-year history taken its iconic show outside Music City, on those occasions visiting prestigious venues such as New York City's Carnegie Hall and Washington, D.C.'s Kennedy Center.

Taking the nightly NISSAN STADIUM stage this year are Country Music superstars Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Dan + Shay, Charles Esten and Friends, Florida Georgia Line, Dustin Lynch, Old Dominion, Jon Pardi, Carly Pearce, Charley Pride, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Ricky Skaggs, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Lee Ann Womack, and Brett Young. Several acts join this year's Nissan Stadium lineup for the first time with full sets and special performances including Brown, Combs, Dan + Shay, Old Dominion, Pardi, Pearce and Young. In addition, Lauren Alaina and Bebe Rexha will make guest appearances. Stadium gates open daily at 6:00 PM with performances starting at 8:00 PM. Superstar Songwriters Pay Tribute To Hank Cochran & Red Lane

Superstar songwriters Rafe Van Hoy, Marla Cannon-Goodman, Dale Dodson, Waylon Payne, Don Sampson and Ronnie Bowman will pay tribute to Hank Cochran and Red Lane at 3rd & Lindsley (816 3rd Ave. South) on Wednesday, January 17 to benefit The Hank Cochran Pen Fund. Tickets are $10; doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30. The 501(c)(3) charity focuses its efforts on financially assisting songwriters with cancer.
Billy Yates Announces New Songwriters Show In Branson

Billy Yates' Hit Songwriters in the Round will debut April 6, 2018 at the Americana Theatre on the famed 76 Country Music Boulevard strip in Branson. The first three shows will feature two of Nashville's most gifted songwriters, those being Kerry Kurt Phillips, whose songwriting credits include: 'Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox (If I Die)' (Joe Diffie), 'Down On The Farm' (Tim McGraw), and 'She Let Herself Go' (George Strait), along with Wynn Varble, star of the hit TV series, Joey and Rory, whose songwriting credits include: 'Have You Forgotten' (Darryl Worley), 'Waitin' On A Woman' (Brad Paisley), and 'A Little More Country Than That' (Easton Corbin).
