![]()
After first making his name at Texas honkytonks and then touring with his friend and mentor Charley Pride, McCoy became a country radio favorite with break through back-to-back #1 singles "No Doubt About It" and "Wink" and a subsequent string of #1s including "Billy's Got His Beer Goggles On," "The Shake," "You Gotta Love That," "They're Playing Our Song," and "The City Put The Country Back in Me."
To date, McCoy's released 34 singles and 15 studio albums, three certified platinum and one gold. A notable 15 USO Tours have filled his calendars with continuous concert appearances, and he's been awarded such honors as Entertainer of the Year and Video of the Year, multiple Humanitarian awards from The Academy of Country Music, The Country Radio Broadcasters and The Masonic Grand Lodge along the way.
When in concert, McCoy shares a free-wheeling, honkytonk vibe, making sure, as he declares, that "No two shows are the same!" That's the beauty of live!
He returns to Spencer Theater stage lights on Thursday, August 23 and Friday, August 24 at 8 p.m. with his band: Becky Priest (Band Leader) on keyboards, Shane Williams on drums, guitarist Tommy Nash, and Jimmy Wooten on bass guitar.
