MEMPHIS, the musical that is currently BLOWING THE ROOF OFF BROADWAY celebrates its 200th performance on Saturday, April 10th at 8pm at the Shubert Theatre. Cast and crew will celebrate this milestone in true MEMPHIS style with dinner from Carmine's and cake between shows.

Barnes & Noble has announced its guests and events for the month of April for its various stores in New York City. Set to appear are Carol Burnett, John Tartaglia, Gene Wilder, the casts of Broadway's Memphis and Enron, and many more!

On Monday, April 5th at 7pm, WNYC's The Greene Space goes behind the scenes of Memphis with bookwriter and co-lyricist Joe Pietro (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change) and stars Montego Glover and Chad Kimball. This is an intimate opportunity to spend an evening with some of the people behind one of Broadway's newest plays, recently seen by First Lady Michelle Obama and her family.

Following critically acclaimed and sold-out engagements on the West Coast, the musical MEMPHIS made its Broadway debut October 19, 2009, earning accolades for its score, which features music by Bon Jovi's founding member/keyboardist David Bryan and lyrics by Bryan and Joe DiPietro (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change).

The producers of the hit Broadway musical MEMPHIS announced today that the critically acclaimed production will launch a U. S. national tour in Memphis, TN. Performances will begin in October, 2011 at the Orpheum Theatre (203 South Main Street). Additional cities, dates and casting will be announced at a later date.

NOT THE SAME: the music & lyrics of Bobby Cronin is a one-night only all new concert of ASCAP winning composer/writer Bobby Cronin's music. On Sunday March 28th at the Metropolitan Room, NOT THE SAME will feature many Broadway performers new to Bobby's music and audience, as well as many new songs written for Bobby's numerous projects in the works; THE BEATEN PATH, TIL DEATH DO US PART, CATY BRIDGEWATER, The Untitled Project, and (UN)LUCKY IN LOVE. The night will feature Cronin on the piano heading a four piece band for a night of rockin' uptempos, passionate ballads, comedic tunes, and honest anthems.

Broadway performers Lisa Brescia, Memphis' Chad Kimball, Andrew Samonsky and more have been confirmed to perform in Not The Same: The Music & Lyrics of Bobby Cronin on March 28th at the Metropolitan Room.

The thrilling new musical MEMPHIS will fuel the imaginations of thousands of New York and New Jersey students through the new educational program INSPIRE CHANGE. Students from arts-poor schools will experience historical events in a new musical way, through tickets to the Broadway production, an in-school dynamic pre-show workshop led by a MEMPHIS cast member and teaching artists, as well as a post-show discussion with the MEMPHIS actors. Ticket to MEMPHIS, round-trip transportation and the workshop/post-show experience will be provided by the funders of INSPIRE CHANGE. The program is run by educational consultancy group iTheatrics (www.itheatrics.com).

For one night only, stars from Broadway's biggest hit shows joined together for the Broadway Purim Shpiel, a comedic retelling of the Purim story. All proceeds from the NEFCA production will benefit The Birthright Israel Foundation, an organization dedicated to sending young Jews from across the world to Israel.

The National Entertainment Fund for the Cultural Arts (NEFCA) and event Co-Chair Michael Steinhardt proudly present the 6th Annual Broadway Purim Shpiel at the Hudson Theatre on Monday, March 1st, 2010 at 7pm. For one night only, stars from Broadway's biggest hit shows join together for the Broadway Purim Shpiel, a hilarious retelling of the Purim story.
