Gingold Theatrical Group, which made history last year as the first
company ever to present every play (including full-length works,
one-acts and sketches) written by George Bernard Shaw with PROJECT SHAW - is set to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with its SECOND ANNUAL GTG ST. PATRICK'S DAY GALA on Wednesday, March 17, beginning at 6pm at The Players Club (16 Gramercy Park South) in Manhattan.

Producer David Staller directs an evening of George Bernard Shaw
scenes, snippets and stuff, featuring an all-star cast playing all the "wrong" roles: Imagine Michael Cerveris as the teenage virgin St. Joan, or Kate Mulgrew as the teenage virgin Cleopatra, or Jane Powell as the teenage virgin Eliza.

The ensemble for the gala includes Kate Baldwin (FINIAN'S RAINBOW), Michael Cerveris (IN THE NEXT ROOM), Jayne Houdyshell (BYE BYE BIRDIE), George S. Irving, Irish Repertory Theatre's Charlotte MooreKate Mulgrew (EQUUS), Jane Powell ("Seven Brides for Seven Brothers"), New York Post's Michael Riedel, Diane Stilwell Weinberg, andTom Viola along with Irish musicians, and others set to participate in songs, dances and larks.

In addition to the performances, THE SECOND ANNUAL GTG ST. PATRICK'S DAY GALA includes a lavish and traditional old-fashioned Irish dinner: corned-beef and cabbage, lamb stew, greenie pie, puddings and ales.

The evening will also honor associate producer Anita Jaffe.

PROJECT SHAW continues its fifth year with one of Shaw's boldest of comedies, THE PHILANDERER, on Monday, February 15 at 7pm at The Players Club (16 Gramercy Park South). Mr. Staller directs a cast that includes Cassie Beck, Jim Brochu, Chad Kimball, Julia Murney, Robert Stanton, Paxton Whitehead, and Emily Young, and Variety's David Rooney, who narrates the evening.

THE SECOND ANNUAL GTG ST. PATRICK'S DAY GALA is set for Wednesday, March 17 at The Players Club (16 Gramercy Park South), beginning at 6pm. Tickets are $95. This event is open to the public.
