PBS's 'Great Performances' series has just announced the schedule for their previously announced 2012 line-up, which is set to feature a slew of theatre productions. Included in the season is LET ME DOWN EASY- a one-woman show featuring Anna Deavere Smith airing January 13; MEMPHIS- featuring original stars Montego Glover and Chad Kimball airing February 24; and THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA- featuring Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess airing in March.

MEMPHIS is performing in Hartford, Connecticut at the Bushnell Theatre until January 15, and on January 10, Fenkart performed the rousing crowd favorite, 'Memphis Lives in Me' on the show Better Connecticut.

This past fall, Rent vet Adam Pascal stepped into the shoes of Tony nominee Chad Kimball as Broadway's newest 'Huey Calhoun' in MEMPHIS. The national tour of Tony award-winning 'Memphis' loses some heat, but still thrills vocally.

Bloomingdale's 59th Street unveils its 2011 holiday windows with entertainment that includes the powerful voice of Martha Wash and cast members from Broadway's Tony Award winning hit Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical performing the song they recorded for the 2011 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Vol. 13.

As described in a brochure for WNET's 'Great Performances' series, the 2011-12 season will feature a slew of theatre productions. Included in the line-up is LET ME DOWN EASY- a one-woman show featuring Anna Deavere Smith, MEMPHIS- featuring original stars Montego Glover and Chad Kimball, and THE HANTOM OF THE OPERA- featuring Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess. Also included in this season will be Michael Tilson Thomas' THE THOMASHEFSKYS- starring Shuler Hensley and Judy Blazer, and 'The Divine Right'- a Sam Mendes miniseries about putting together Shakespeare's RICHARD II, HENRY IV Parts I & II and HENRY V. Air dates for the above programs have not yet been announced.

Byran Fenkart, who plays the starring role of DJ Huey Calhoun in the national tour, made his Broadway debut in Memphis as the Huey stand-by to Tony nominee Chad Kimball, says the experience of mounting Memphis in Memphis is one he'll never forget - and one which affected the entire company in so many ways.

Today we are talking to a Broadway stalwart with a string of hit shows on his resume - CATS, A CHORUS LINE, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, THE WHO'S TOMMY, CHICAGO and more included - as well as hit solo albums of his own, such as his new release CHANGE BEGINS WITH ME; the one and only Matt Zarley. He also shares all about the shoot for the three music videos for the songs on his new dance album - "WTF" and "Forgive Me" included. So, with stomachs happily full, we headed over to the Shubert Theater on a rainy night. The mood in the lobby and the audience though was fantastically upbeat for this beloved show. I'm happy to report that MEMPHIS, which I originally saw in previews, is in great shape, with performances, choreography, scenic elements, lighting and costumes in as sharp of shape as any show on Broadway could ever hope to be. Interestingly enough, the US national touring production of MEMPHIS opened October 16th at the Orpheum Theater in Memphis, TN.
