Theatre Bay Area, one of the largest regional performing arts service organizations in North America, has announced the finalists of the 2019 TBA Awards. The sixth-annual TBA Awards Celebration will take place on Monday, Nov. 4 at the Herbst Theatre (401 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco).

Bay Area favorite Maureen McVerry makes her Cinnabar debut as Linda Lee Porter, wife of Cole Porter, in this West Coast premiere. Interweaving the great songs of Cole Porter with captivating story-telling by his beautiful and glamorous wife, we peek behind the glitter of her sensational life to experience a unique, sometimes difficult but always love-filled marriage.

The Morrisson Theatre Chorus, under the musical direction of Cesar Cancino, will present its Holiday Concert: Special Songs for a Special Time of the Year:  on December 15, 16 and 17 at 8:00pm and December 18 at 2:00pm.

In September, the Tony Award-winning Berkeley Repertory Theatre kicks off its new season with the world premiere of Rita Moreno: Life Without Makeup, a captivating new show created specifically for this outstanding actress. Written by Artistic Director Tony Taccone, developed by Rita Moreno and Tony Taccone, and staged by David Galligan, this spectacular production starts previews in the Roda Theatre on September 2, opens September 7, and runs through October 30.

Berkeley Rep (Roda Theatre, 2015 Addison Street @ Shattuck) will present Tony Taccone's RITA MORENO: LIFE WITHOUT MAKEUP, starring Rita Moreno with Ray Garcia and Salvatore Vassallo. The production features direction by David Galligan and choreography by Lee Martino and will run through October 30, 2011.
