New Century Theatre Company Presents Dan LeFranc's THE BIG MEAL

New Century Theatre Company (NCTC) will close its 2016 season at 12th Avenue Arts with award-winning playwright Dan LeFranc's The Big Meal. The Big Meal will run October 20-November 19, 2016 (opening night is October 28, 2016). Tickets are available for purchase online now at www.wearenctc.org.

Hennepin Theatre Trust Announces Artists for SPIRIT: MADE HERE

Hennepin Theatre Trust today announced the artists selected for the next installation of Made Here window displays in WeDo-the West Downtown Minneapolis Cultural District. Spirit: Made Here, sponsored by Andersen Windows, will feature artwork by more than 75 Minnesota artists and students, including brand new artists and internationally renowned professionals. The walkable urban art gallery will launch on Hennepin Avenue with a free, public celebration at Marin Restaurant & Bar (901 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis) on Thursday, Dec. 8 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Celtic Thunder to Return to Minneapolis with 'Legacy' Tour This Fall

Hennepin Theatre Trust announced today that CELTIC THUNDER, the international singing sensation, will return to Minneapolis with their brand new North American 'Legacy' tour at 8 p.m. today, Sept. 30 at the historic State Theatre (805 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis).

TeenTix Announces Nominees of 2016 Teeny Awards

For the eighth year, Seattle's TeenTix, an arts access and engagement program for teenagers, has announced the nominees for its annual Teeny Awards. Like a Teen Choice Awards for local arts events and organizations, the Teeny Awards aim to empower teen arts audiences and to recognize those organizations that have done an especially good job of welcoming young people over the past year.

Bad Apples is the new rock musical inspired by the real-life prisoner abuse scandal at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. Bad Apples seeks to answer the simple question: How in God's name did this happen? YPC of NYC to Perform Pre-Curtain Concert for Classical Theater of Harlem's MACBETH in July

The Daniel Group to Bring Three Production to the New Century Theatre

Hennepin Theatre Trust announced today it will be presenting three productions by The Daniel Group at the New Century Theatre (street level of City Center, 615 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis) including Triple Espresso - a highly caffeinated comedy, which moves from its 21-year home at the Music Box Theatre. Chris Isaak Coming to Pantages Theatre, 7/19

Rockabilly singer-songwriter, guitarist and actor CHRIS ISAAK performs with his band Silvertone to Minneapolis for one night only at the Pantages Theatre (710 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19. The Grammy-nominated Isaak is known for supreme showmanship with his haunting voice, fierce guitar and glittered outfits entertaining fans for decades. Isaak and his band will perform new material from "First comes the Night," his first recording of original songs in six years.
