Anne L. Nathan Leads CAROLINA BREEZE at NYTB in the D-Lounge Tonight, 8/13

Tonight, August 13, 2012, New York Theatre Barn will present NYTB in the D-Lounge, a monthly concert for emerging musical theatre writers (now in its 5th year), at the Daryl Roth Theatre. The August 2012 installment of NYTB in the D-Lounge features an excerpt from the new musical Carolina Breeze from writing team Joel Waggoner and Lori Mannette, as well as selections from the new musical Kingdom Come by Matt Webster. The monthly series is executive produced by Laura Brandel and Jason Najjoum.

REALLY BAD THINGS Begins at NYMF, 7/12

The New York Theatre Festival special event production of the new musical Really Bad Things, starring Catherine LeFrere, Kevin Kraft, Robert J. Townsend and Mike Backes, begins performances July 12 at 4:30pm at the PTC Performance Space.

UnsungMusicalsCo. Inc. (www.UnsungMusicals.org) will present a special exploratory reading of the 1969 musical comedy The Fig Leaves Are Falling as part of The Archival Project, a UMC initiative aimed at researching, assembling and restoring the material from unpublished and out-of-print musical shows.

Featuring John Bolton (Curtains, Spamalot), Troy Britton Johnson (The Drowsy Chaperone), Natalie Venetia Belcon (Avenue Q) and Cortney Wolfson (Legally Blonde, The Addams Family), the reading will be held on July 29 at 3pm at Manhattan Theatre Club's Creative Center, 311 West 43rd Street.
