The world premiere of Daniel Carter Brown's new comedy Honor the System opens November 11, 2016 at Out of Box Theatre as the first, official, full-scale production in the New Works Series. Brown is no stranger to the Out of Box stage, and one of his short plays was included in the Playing in the Dark Series at Out of Box, so the choice of his hilarious show was a no-brainer for the Out of Box staff. Honor the Systemwas written with Out of Box's unique features in mind, taking into account the size and intimacy of the space.

Hannah Grover, Gloria Onitiri, Marc Pickering, Michael Steedon and Sebastien Torkia star in THE STRIPPER, which opened last night at the St. James Studio and plays until 13 August. Based on the pulp fiction story by Carter Brown, with music and lyrics by The Rocky Horror Show creators Richard Hartley and Richard O'Brien, The Stripper is directed by Benji Sperring with set and costume design byTim Shortall, choreography by Lucie Pankhurst, musical direction and arrangement by Alex Beetschen and lighting design by Nick Farman.
Prolific composer Richard Hartley has written for stage and screen, including film scores for The Romantic Englishwoman, The Lady Vanishes, Nicolas Roeg's Bad Timing, Bertolucci's Stealing Beauty, and an Emmy-winning score for Channel 4's Alice in Wonderland. He's also worked extensively in theatre, but is perhaps best known for his partnership with Richard O'Brien, which began in 1973 with the iconic Rocky Horror Show - Richard Hartley arranged the score and performed in the original band, and went on to arrange music for the film adaptation.

The Stripper will run at St. James Studio from 7 July to 13 August 2016, with press night on 11 July at 8pm. Lazer Vauderville is presented by ArtsRock of Rockland, Inc., a Rockland County, NY not-for profit arts organization, on Sunday, April 22 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lafayette Theatre in downtown Suffern. This international touring stage show features black light juggling, lasers with magic, acrobatics, slapstick comedy and dance. Starring Carter Brown with hoop rolling and rope-spinning, Cindy Marvell the first woman ever to win the International Juggling Association Championships, and Jeff Taub former Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus clown, as well as Comedia Dell'Arte theater performer and master mask maker. Following the show there will be milk ‘n cookies for all the children!
