George Lucas has reportedly said: 'If I had the time and a sledgehammer, I would track down every copy of that show and smash it.' Hosted by Cherry Pitz and Handsome Brad. With performances by: Bimini Cricket, Brief Sweat, Candy Apples, Fem Appeal, Gogo Incognito, Minnie D'Moocha and Rosie Cheeks.
The World Premiere of Chasing Mem'ries: A Different Kind of Musical, starring Tony and Emmy Award winner Tyne Daly and featuring new and original songs by award-winning lyricists Alan & Marilyn Bergman, is running at the Gil Cates Theater at The Geffen Playhouse and run through Sunday, December 17, 2017. Presented by CAPA, the Lincoln Theatre Association, and the King Arts Complex, The Hip Hop Nutcracker is a contemporary re-imagining of Tchaikovsky's timeless music performed by a supercharged cast of a dozen all-star dancers, an on-stage DJ, and an electric violinist. Kurtis Blow, one of hip hop's founding fathers, will kick off the show with a short set and then rap the introduction.
