Photo Flash: First Look at THE RAILWAY CHILDREN at King's Cross Theatre

The Olivier Award-winning production of Mike Kenny's stage adaptation of E. Nesbit's novel The Railway Children began performances earlier this week on, Tuesday 16 December 2014 at 7.30pm, with the news that the booking period is being extended to 6 September 2015 at its new home, the King's Cross Theatre in London. The new booking period will open on Friday 19 December. There will be a press night on 14 January.

Sheffield Theatres' THE VILLAGE BIKE Begins Tonight, September 13

Written by award-winning contemporary British writer Penelope Skinner (The Sound of Heavy Rain, Sheffield Theatres and Paines Plough's co-production) and directed by Jonathan Humphreys (Happy Days), The Village Bike is a daring and hilarious play about moving to the countryside, becoming parents and growing up. Originally staged at the Royal Court in London, this will be the regional premiere of the play, continuing Sheffield Theatres' tradition of staging new writing in the Studio Theatre.

Damian Cruden's critically acclaimed production of The Railway Children will complete its run as planned on 2 January 2011 at the Waterloo Theatre in the old Eurostar Terminal at Waterloo Station ahead of a Toronto production planned for next year and further productions in the pipeline for New York, San Francisco, Melbourne and Sydney.

Damian Cruden's critically acclaimed production of The Railway Children today announces an extension to its run at Waterloo Station. Mike Kenny's new adaptation of E. Nesbit's novel which has been playing to packed houses since its opening earlier this week is now taking bookings to 2 January 2011.

The cast comprises David Baron (The Old Gentleman), Nicholas Bishop (Peter), Louisa Clein (Phyllis), Caroline Harker (Mother), Elizabeth Keates (Mrs Perks), Steven Kynman (Jim), Marshall Lancaster (Mr Perks), Roger May (Father/Doctor), Blair Plant (Shepansky), Amanda Prior (Mrs Viney) and Sarah Quintrell (Roberta), who are joined by Grace Rowe and Mat Ruttle and children from Lambeth and Southwark.

Yesterday, Thursday 3 June, the 66 tonne Stirling Single arrived at Platform 24, Waterloo Station as preparations began for the production of Mike Kenny's new adaptation of E. Nesbit's novel The Railway Children.

Harker & Lancaster to Lead THE RAILWAY CHILDREN at Waterloo Station

Caroline Harker and Marshall Lancaster will lead the cast as Mother and Mr Perks in Mike Kenny's new adaptation of E. Nesbit's novel The Railway Children which will be performed at a unique venue at Waterloo Station in the former Eurostar terminal. The Railway Children previews from 4 July, with press night 12 July and is booking until 4 September 2010.

'All Mouth' Premieres at Menier Chocolate Factory, May 23

Whatsonstage.com reports that The Menier Chocolate Factory is premiering a new play by Jonathan Lewis and Miranda Foster. The husband/wife writing team's last play, Our Boys, was a hit at the Donmar Warehouse in 1995.
