1st Irish 2010, New York's only all-Irish theatre festival, runs from September 7 to October 4. This year, The Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award goes to OVID'S METAMORPHOSES, adapted and directed by Peter Bramley with original music by Lucy Egger. The production is from the acclaimed London-based company Pants On Fire. The Carol Tambor Theatrical Foundation will present the winning production at the Obie and Drama Desk Award-winning The Flea Theater in January 2011.

This year, the winner of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe was Pants on Fire's modernized production of Ovid's Metamorphoses, reports Variety. The production won the Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award, which was presented by the Carol Tamber foundation.
