Tickets are on sale for the world premiere of Beatrice, by composer Dave Ragland and librettist Mary McCallum, commissioned for the fall 2022 Portland Opera to Go (POGO) tour. Beatrice is a 50-minute youth opera inspired by the life and story of Beatrice Morrow Cannady, a prominent leader in Oregon's cultural community and civil rights movement of the early 1900s.

Portland Opera has announced the creation of a new opera by composer Dave Ragland and librettist Mary McCallum for the fall 2022 Portland Opera to Go tour. Currently untitled, this 50-minute commission is inspired by the life and story of Beatrice Morrow Cannady, a prominent leader in Oregon's cultural community and civil rights movement of the early 1900s.
Portland Opera To Go Presents LA BOHEME

Portland Opera is thrilled to present a 50-minute version of Puccini's La Bohème as the 2019 Portland Opera to Go production. This accessible and romantic Puccini opera concerns the fortunes of four young men, whose lives are changed forever when one of them, the poet Rodolfo, falls in love with the girl upstairs. For almost 20 years, Portland Opera to Go has travelled throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington presenting an opera adaptation targeted to students. Beginning on September 25, POGO will present nearly 50 performances, in venues including school gyms, libraries, cafeterias, classrooms and community centers.

Portland Opera is thrilled to present a 50-minute, English and Spanish-language version of Rossini's The Barber of Seville as 2018's Portland Opera to Go production. For almost 20 years, Portland Opera to Go has travelled throughout Oregon and SW Washington with an opera adaptation targeted for students. This year, POGO will present nearly 60 performances, in venues including school gyms, libraries, cafeterias, classrooms and community centers.
