Broadway legend Carol Channing is fond of telling the story about a group of Russian diplomats who came to see the original production of Hello, Dolly! in 1964. Although they spoke virtually no English, they sat through the show and visited with the star in her dressing room afterwards. Talking through an interpreter, they told her that they loved the musical because it was filled with so much optimism. Although they couldn't understand the lyrics, the ebullience of Jerry Herman's music allowed them to experience and enjoy what producer David Merrick touted as 'the world's happiest musical'.

It was an impressive crowd that gathered for the opening night of Rip Taylor's 'It Ain't All Confetti' at the El Portal Theatre on Friday May 21st, including Kathy Griffin, Julie Newmar, Rich Little, Kate Linder, Romi Dames, Bruce Vilanch, Joanne Worley, Susan Olsen, Tania Gunadi, Gary Collins, Mary Ann Mobley, Margaret O'Brien, Earl Holliman, Ruta Lee, Dick Van Patten, Nancy Dussault, Judy Tenuta, Dee Wallace, Anne Jeffreys, Alex Trebeck and many more.

The master mimic of over 200 voices, Rich Little who continues to impress in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Reno, Hawaii, Chicago, New York & London, now comes to the world famous Magic Castle. The two-day engagement features Mr. Little's artwork in The Castle's Inner Circle.
