Austin Cabaret Theatre is thrilled to present the return of the inimitable Jim Caruso in his open mic extravaganza, CAST PARTY! A weekly event at the legendary Birdland Jazz Club in New York, Jim has been "taking the show on the road" to great success in cities across the country. Jim is the quick-witted Master of Ceremonies while Billy Stritch is an orchestra all by himself-put them together and the result is a sym-funny of song! That should be enough, but there's an additional draw to the evening; the myriad of local talent that will bring their sheet music, give it to Billy and create an impromptu show where anything can-and probably will-happen!

The award-winning Caruso has been perfectly described by Rex Reed:

"This dashing, polished and seasoned pro can do almost anything! He's reflective and touching and bouncy and irreverent...and boy...can he swing!"
Billy Stritch was hailed by the London Times thus:

"Equally gifted as a player and a singer, and doing both with no-holds-power, Stritch is not afraid to dazzle!"
