Tony Award winner Michele Pawk is set for a reading of Joan Crawford In...'Flesh and Blood!', written by Joe Major. The event is invitation only, and will take place April 8 -9 in Manhattan. With direction by Richard Roland, the show features Liz McCartney (South Pacific), Marcus Neville (The Full Monty), Roger Rifkin (Early to Bed), Ed Romanoff (Hairspray), Graham Rowat (The Boys in the Band) and Sarah Stiles (Vanities).

Tom Viertel, Chairman of the Board of the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, has announced that Stephen Sondheim will present Harold Prince with the organization's Monte Cristo Award at a gala benefit on Monday, April 5, 2010 at Bridgewaters. The Award, given annually in recognition of a distinguished career exemplifying Eugene O'Neill's pioneering spirit and standard of excellence, has previously been presented to Kevin Spacey, Neil Simon, Jason Robards, Jr., Edward Albee, August Wilson, Zoe Caldwell, Brian Dennehy, Karl Malden, Arthur and Barbara Gelb, and Wendy Wasserstein.

Principal photography began Friday, March 26, in New York on Columbia Pictures'/Sony Pictures Animation's hybrid live-action and animated family comedy, The Smurfs, it was announced today by Bob Osher, president of Sony Pictures Digital Productions, Hannah Minghella, president of Sony Pictures Animation and Doug Belgrad, president of Columbia Pictures.

Baby Jane Crashes Sunset Boulevard

The hit films Sunset Boulevard and What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? have so much in common. They are both set in humongous decaying Hollywood mansions inhabited by faded movie stars. Mad About the Boy Productions has very entertainingly connected the two scripts for an onstage parody @ the Macha Theatre - and has succeeded quite well in satisfying our appetite for bizarre camp.
