Ann Sanders -- who enjoyed a long run as Christmas Eve in AVENUE Q during its record-breaking six-year run on Broadway -- returns to the Tony Award-winning musical to resume the role of the lovable, no-nonsense Japanese therapist starting Monday, April 5 at New World Stages (340 W. 50 St.) in Manhattan.
Ms. Sanders played Christmas Eve - whose song "The More You Ruv Someone" is one of AVENUE Q's many show-stopping numbers - for three years on Broadway, having originally served as understudy for the part. Ms. Sanders' other musical credits include Belle in "Beauty and the Beast" on Broadway; "Miss Saigon," "Show Boat," "Carousel," "Man of La Mancha," and "The King and I."
Ms. Sanders joins the cast of AVENUE Q at New World Stages, which also features members from the musical's Broadway, Las Vegas and National Tour productions:

It has also been announced that starting Saturday May 1st, 2010, Saturday matinee performances at AVENUE Q will begin at 2:30pm, instead of the current 2:00pm performance time.
