Tony Award winner and stage legend Carol Burnett will host a book-signing for her new memoir, This Time Together: Laughter and Reflection, at Barnes & Noble Union Square on Thursday, April 8 at 7pm. In addition to signing books for fans, Burnett will discuss the book and highlights from her career.

Perhaps best known for her 11 year run on The Carol Burnett show, which ran from 1967 to 1978 on CBS, Burnett starred on Broadway in Once Upon a Mattress, Fade Out-Fade In, Putting it Together, and Moon Over Buffalo. In addition, she co-wrote the autobiographical play, Hollywood Arms with her daughter, the late Carrie Hamilton.  She famously portrayed Miss Hannigan in the film adaptation of the musical Annie, and won an Emmy Award for a guest role on the sitcom Mad About You.

The memoir accounts the star's personal and professional ups and downs. The Carol Burnett Show was seen each week by millions and won twenty-five Emmys in its eleven-year run. In engaging anecdotes, Carol discusses her relationships with greats such at Jimmy Stewart, Lucille Ball, Cary Grant, and Julie Andrews; and, according to Amazon, "the background behind famous scenes, like the moment she swept down the stairs in her curtain-rod dress in the legendary "Went With the Wild" skit; and things that would happen only to Carol - the prank with Julie Andrews that went wrong in front of the First Lady; the famous Tarzan Yell that saved her during a mugging; and the time she faked a wooden leg to get served in a famous ice cream emporium."

This Time Together: Laughter and Reflection is available wherever books are sold. For more information on the event, call 212-253-0810.
