Birdland Jazz Club is pleased to announce their moving line-up of exceptional talent for June 24 - June 30, 2013.

This past week, Klea Blackhurst, Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch brought holiday cheer to the iconic music room Birdland, with their "Swinging Birdland Christmas." For the third year in a row, the performers were accompanied by John Hart on guitar, Carmen Intorre on drums and Paul Gill on bass, along with special guest jazz violinist/comedian Aaron Weinstein.

Birdland has announced the third year of "A Swinging Birdland Christmas," starring Birdland regulars Klea Blackhurst, Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch. This will be a limited engagement of 6 performances, Friday, December 21 through Tuesday, December 25. All shows are at 6pm, except for the Monday and Tuesday, with 7pm and 10pm shows.

Jim Caruso's Cast Party has been jokingly called "the Ellis Island of Cabaret," because at one time or another, all great talent seems to come through the historic Birdland doors. Monday night, September 10th, was certainly no exception, and even a little more star-filled than usual. Long-time Cast Party stalwart, Liza Minnelli showed up with concert superstar Michael Feinstein to celebrate her return to "Arrested Development," and his new gig as lead conductor of the Pasadena Pops. At the next table, Feinstein's current singing partner, Marilyn Maye caught up with friends before taking the stage so sing and swing. Check out photos from the evening below!

Monday night's episode of Jim Caruso's Cast Party was like a modern-day "Ed Sullivan Show," thanks to a wide array of wonderful talent. From 11-year-old jazz trumpet player Geoff Gallante, who played and crooned "Bare Necessities," to "Beauty And The Geek" star Richard Rubin, the 'extreme open mic' entertained the packed house into the wee hours.

Birdland's very own jazz quartet hits the stage every Sunday to wrap up the weekend with jazz classics! This quartet features John Hart (Guitar), Paul Gil (bass), Carmen Intorre (Drums) & Jon Davis (Piano) with special guest vocalist Kat Gang!

Birdland (315 West 44th Street - between 8th & 9th Avenues) is set to present The Birdland Jazz Party with The Birdland Jazz Quartet featuring guest vocalist William Blake on Sunday December 4th at 6pm.
