Orange County Performing Arts Center Welcomes Steve Martin 10/30

Steve Martin, the multi-talented and award-winning actor, comedian, musician and author, will make his debut at the Orange County Performing Arts Center on October 30 in Segerstrom Hall for a special one-night-only engagement.

Be ready to laugh at the hilarious farce The Underpants, written by German playwright Carl Sternheim and adapted by comedian Steve Martin. The show is presented by Grosse Pointe Theatre and Ed Lazar, agent, State Farm Insurance Companies. The Underpants opens on Sunday, February 22nd with a 2:00 p.m. matinee. The show continues February 26-29 at 8:00 p.m., March 1st at 2:00 p.m. and March 4-7 at 8:00 p.m. All performances are in the Fries Auditorium of the Grosse Pointe War Memorial, 32 Lake Shore Road, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48236. Ray Ficca Takes Over As Totem Pole's Artistic Director

After 23 years of guiding Totem Pole Playhouse into national prominence as a premiere professional summer theatre, Carl Schurr and Wil Love are stepping down at the end of the 2008 season. As Producing Artistic Director and Associate Artistic Director, respectively, this theatrical duo has produced, directed and acted in well over one hundred productions since assuming their current positions in 1985. Ray Ficca, long time friend of Schurr and Love and a resident company member at the Playhouse will become the artistic director in September of this year.

Playhouse on the Green To Present Steve Martin's 'Underpants'

Playhouse on the Green, a 54-year-old not-for-profit theater company in residence at a beautiful 228-seat jewel-box theater in the heart of downtown Bridgeport, CT, kicks off their 2008-2009 season of plays and musicals with Steve Martin's wacky adaptation of Carl Sternheim's 1911 comedy 'The Underpants.' This hilarious send-up of repressed society and scandalous fashion faux pas runs for 8 performances only September 26-October 5, 2008.
