ake McDorman (“Limitless,” “Lady Bird”) and Nik Dodani (“Atypical”) will join the cast of MURPHY BROWN when it returns to CBS for the 2018-2019 broadcast season.

McDorman will play Avery, Murphy's millennial journalist son who is following in his mother's footsteps, perhaps too closely, and has his mother's competitive spirit and quick wit.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the previously announced CBS reboot of MURPHY BROWN will not only feature one of the original stars, but four. Candice Bergen will officially be joined by additional original cast members Faith Ford, Joe Regalbuto and Grant Shaud. All four original stars are set for the 13 episode order.
