Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails, buffet dinner and silent auction, gondola boat rides from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., followed by musical presentation by host, Tony Award-winner Cady Huffman (The Producers). Kristin Chenoweth and Sean Hayes, co-stars of the current Broadway revival of Promises, Promises, are scheduled to perform. Special guest Matthew Morrison, star of the TV series Glee, will also join the festivities.
On Monday, April 26th, New York Theatre Barn will present its monthly showcase for emerging writers and performers at the D-Lounge at the Daryl Roth Theater, which will feature the music of Barbara Anselmi, songs from the 2009 NYMF production of All Fall Down, and songs from NYTB's commissioned musical Speargrove Presents.

GPR Records, the new CD label specializing in Broadway, classical, spoken word and children's music, is sponsoring a poetry contest that will take place on Twitter, called TwItsPoetic, to celebrate National Poetry Month and the release of their first CD Poetic License: 100 Poems by 100 Performers.

GPR aims to surprise listeners with recordings that are both unusual and entertaining. Last night on April 4th, the group presented 'Poetic License: 100 Poems by 100 Performers' at The Bowery in celebration of the release of its first recording. GPR Records is presenting this collection in hopes of inspiring audiences with a new appreciation of the spoken word.
