On Monday, October 25th, New York Theatre Barn will present its monthly showcase for emerging writers and performers at the D-Lounge at the Daryl Roth Theater, which will feature the music of Timothy Huang and duo Eli Bolin and Sam Forman as well as performances from Broadway's Carly Jibson (Cry Baby, Hairspray) and Jared Gertner (Spelling Bee).
'Submissions Only,' a new online television series, will premiere this Friday, October 15th on YouTube featuring a slew of Broadway guest stars. 'Submissions Only' is about auditioning for theatre in New York City. On Monday, August 2, the Tony-winning actress Cady Huffman took to the Broadway at Birdland in front of a packed house of family, friends and fans! Huffman (Tony winner for The Producers), along with renowned saxophonist Michael Hashim, celebrated, challengd and twisted into oblivion some traditional jazz standards with their musical collaboration, 'The Tree Of Life. Joining Huffman and Hashim on stage were Ed MacCeachen on guitar, Kelly Freisen on bass and Willard Dyson on drums.
