On Monday, March 29th, New York Theatre Barn will present its monthly showcase for emerging writers and performers at the D-Lounge at the Daryl Roth Theater, which will feature the music of Drew Gasparini, a set of performances by Syracuse University alums, and songs from New York Theatre Barn's upcoming musical presentation of Speargrove Presents. Performers for the evening include Bailey Hanks (Legally Blonde), Patti Murin (Xanadu), and Michael Buchanan (The Addams Family), and Executive Producers for NYTB in the D-Lounge are Laura Brandel and Karen Marshall.
For the first set of the evening, join Drew Gasparini and friends for an evening of songs from his new musicals Crazy, Just Like Me (which has been produced California where it headlined the San Francisco Theatre Festival last summer), and his new musical Circles. Gasparini was one of the National Alliance for Musical Theater's featured composers in the Songwriter Showcase, and joining Gasparini in performing his songs will be MAC Award winner
Cait Doyle (Hot Mess In Manhattan),
Anna Ty Bergman, Michelle Nikoomanesh, and Nicholas Christopher.
The second set, Mostly Syracuse, will feature orange alums acting, singing, and drinking...just like the good old days. Hosted by Nick Fondulis and directed by
Cait Doyle, it will feature Patti Murin,
Michael Buchanan, and more.
In between the two sets will be songs from New York Theatre Barn's upcoming musical presentation of Speargrove Presents, which will feature performances from
Bailey Hanks,
Jennifer Blood, Kend
Al Hartse, and Hernando Umana.
NYTB in the D-Lounge takes place Monday, March 29th at 7:30pm it the D-Lounge at the
Daryl Roth Theater (101 East 15th Street at Union Square East). There is a $10 cover plus a 1-drink minimum.

NYTB has grown into a vital force in the New York theatre scene where it has been a launching ground for challenging new work including
Adam Gwon's Ordinary Days (which had a recent production at the
Roundabout Theatre Company). New York Theatre Barn is a member of the National Alliance for Musical Theatre.
