Balagan Theatre and New York City producer Katie Tomlinson Diamond presented a season preview party in June of Nirvanov, featuring television and stage star C.S. SHOWTIME announces its line-up for 2013 Summer/Fall programming!

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Showtime's president, David Nevins, confirmed the network is considering a spin-off of the hit show, which would follow Deb, Dexter's foster sister, played by Jennifer Carpenter.

In a special announcement this afternoon made directly to DEXTER's 13 million fans on the show's Facebook page, SHOWTIME confirmed that the upcoming eighth season of the groundbreaking series will be its final one. The announcement coincided with the release of an exclusive tease from the premiere of the series' eighth and final season, which debuts on Sunday June 30th at 9 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME. The series premiered on the network on October 1, 2006 and has grown its loyal audience every season since its debut. DEXTER was the recipient of the prestigious Peabody Award, as well as 25 Emmy and 10 Golden Globe Award nominations, and was twice named one of AFI's top ten television series.

TVGuide reports that the upcoming season of the Showtime hit DEXTER may be its last. At yesterday's Deutsche Bank Media, Internet and Telecom conference, Les Moonves, president and CEO of CBS Corp., which owns Showtime, commented that the drama will begin its final season this summer.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Charlotte Rampling and Sean Patrick Flanery have been tapped to join Dexter for it's upcoming, and potentially final, season.
