According to The Hollywood Reporter, Charlotte Rampling (THE DUCHESS, MELANCHOLIA) and Sean Patrick Flanery (THE BOONDOCK SAINTS), have been tapped to join Dexter for it's upcoming, and potentially final, season.

Rampling will reportedly play an unorthodox neuro-psychiatrist who specializes in younger people afflicted with mental issues. EW first reported that Rampling would join the cast.

Flanery is set to portray a private detective and former cop, 'Jacob Elroy.'

As previously reported, the eighth season of DEXTER, set to premiere on June 30, will most likely be its last.

Executive producer Scott Buck recently told The Hollywood Reporter, "We are absolutely writing it with an end in sight, but if we get told otherwise somewhere along the way, we'll take it in a different direction. But we are definitely working toward the finale of the series."

Dexter stars Michael C. Hall in his Golden Globe Award-winning role as Dexter Morgan, a complicated and conflicted blood-spatter expert for the Miami police department who moonlights as a serial killer. The series also stars Jennifer Carpenter, Desmond Harrington, C.S. Lee, Lauren Vélez, David Zayas and James Remar.
