In honor of Hollywood's 'tough guy in tap shoes' James Cagney, who would have turned 118 today, producer Riki Kane Larimer (On The Town, Gigi, West End's Memphis) announced the West Coast Premiere of the hit musical CAGNEY.

CAGNEY The Musical has played to sold out audiences for 473 performances at the West Side Theatre in New York City. The big question posed to enterprising producer Riki Kane Larimer at the closing night celebration was 'where will Broadway's Robert Creighton, (in the role he was born to play) and cast be bringing the story of James Cagney to next?'  

Cagney, the hit musical about Hollywood's tough guy in tap shoes, will conclude its celebrated run at The Westside Theatre on Sunday, May 28, 2017. Cagney began performances at The Westside Theatre March 16, 2016, prior to an official opening on April 3, 2016. When Cagney takes its final curtain call at The Westside Theatre, the production will have played a total of 502 performances (including 21previews).

Cagney is the dramatic new musical that follows the life of the legendary James Cagney from the streets of New York to his rise as one of the brightest stars of Hollywood, from a vaudeville song-and-dance man to the cinema's original tough guy. Broadway's Robert Creighton, in the role he was born to play, joins the cast who tap dance through a score that blends original music with classic George M. Cohan favorites.
