Stephanie D'Abruzzo, Chip Zien, Karen Mason, Sebastian Arcelus, Tonya Pinkins, Beth Leavel, Carolee Carmello, Stephanie J. Block, Karen Akers, Emily Skinner, Julia Murney, Lari White, John Easterlin, Noah Racey, Camille Saviola, Mark Nadler, Jillian Louis, Danny Gardner and the Broadway by the Year Chorus all took part in Town Hall's 14th season opener of its Broadway by the Year Series last night, February 24 at 8pm, THE BROADWAY MUSICALS OF 1915-1939. Two-time Tony Nominee Christine Andreas, Tony Nominee Emily Skinner, Drama Desk Nominees Kerry O'Malley and Jeffry Denman, and two-time Nightlife Award Winner Scott Coulter starred in The Broadway Musicals of 1961 at Town Hall last night, March 11th. The critically-acclaimed new Broadway by the Year Chorus joined them in performing songs from Carnival, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Subways Are For Sleeping, Sail Away, Milk and Honey, and more! La Muse Venale presents a musical tale of dreams, possibilities and heartbreak in Robert L. Hecker's Honestly Abe, which shines a spotlight on a little-known early chapter in the life of President Abraham Lincoln. Directed by Joshua A. Kashinsky, Honestly Abe will begin performances at the Mint Theater at 311 West 43rd Street.

While the title of Town Hall's third annual production of Broadway's Rising Stars suggests a look into the future, I prefer to linger a bit in the present. With a cast consisting of 22 recent grads from such musical theatre savvy institutions as NYU, Carnegie Mellon, AMDA and The Cincinnati Conservatory, all hand picked by creator/writer/host Scott Siegel, his partner in both life and reviewing, Barbara, plus directors Emily Skinner and Scott Coulter, this was a night to treasure the youthful love of the type of songs and the styles of singing that have helped make musical theatre this city's major export to the world.

Jenna gives a rundown of where she's been and who she's seen in the world of cabaret (and sometimes beyond!) in the past week. The past week's events included Eric Comstock & Barbara Fasano at Feinsteins, as well as a wonderful Cast Party at Birdland!

After Monday night's Nick Adams Broadway at Birdland concert, everyone stuck around for a jam-packed Cast Party, guest hosted by Scott Siegel, stepping in for Jim Caruso who is traveling out of town.

One-Act Play Festival invites audiences toexperience the best of The New School for Drama's up-and-coming actors, directors, and playwrights.
