Lookingglass Theatre Company announces casting for the final two shows of its 2016-2017 season, including the U.S. Premiere of Beyond Caring, written and directed by Alexander Zeldin in association with Dark Harbor Stories, a company led by Ensemble Member David Schwimmer and Tom Hodges, as well as the remount of the Jeff Award-winning Moby Dick, adapted from the novel by Herman Melville and directed by Ensemble Member David Catlin.
SYFY to Adapt & Executive Produce Aldous Huxley's BRAVE NEW WORLD with Amblin Television

Universal Cable Productions (UCP) and Syfy today announced they have signed Grant Morrison (“Batman,” “The Invisibles”) and Brian Taylor (“Crank,” “Gamer”) to adapt Aldous Huxley's novel “Brave New World” for Syfy with Amblin Television. Morrison and Taylor will also serve as executive producers, along with Amblin Television Co-Presidents Darryl Frank (“The Americans,” “All The Way”) and Justin Falvey (“The Americans,” “All The Way”).

This production will also mark the conclusion of our year-long celebration of the 50th ANNIVERSARY of the very building we do all of our Productions in - THE LAKEWOOD PLAYHOUSE THEATRE! From TAMING of the SHREW in its first year to AVENUE Q at the end of this season, we will have presented over 300 Productions at this venue that was first built for us in 1965 by the Lakewood Arts Foundation.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present Broadway's own Phantom, James Barbour, who performed his eighth sold-out holiday concert at Birdland on Sunday. Barbour hosted a musical extravaganza that included cast members from Phantom of the Opera, including Julia Udine, Jeremy Hays, Laird Mackintosh and Jeremy Stolle, with Brian Taylor on piano. TEMPUS Projects will celebrate its 5th Anniversary with a special exhibition entitled “Hi-5, Celebrating FIVE years of TEMPUS Projects in Seminole Heights.” The opening reception will be held between 7-10 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2014.
