THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has broken the house record in Des Moines for the week ending February 3, 2013. The show broke the record at the Des Moines Civic Center grossing $1,563,897.00. THE BOOK OF MORMON breaks the record, previously set by WICKED in 2009.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Tony nominee Rory O'Malley played his final performance in THE BOOK OF MORMON on January 27th. He'll be replaced by Matt Loehr, who takes over as Elder McKinley tonight, January 29.

Omaha Performing Arts Presents THE BOOK OF MORMON, 10/12-20

The First National Tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, will play a strictly limited nine-day, 11-performance engagement from Saturday, October 12 through Sunday, October 20, 2013 at the Orpheum Theater, 409 South 16th St., Omaha, Nebraska. The production will open the 2013/2014 Omaha Performing Arts. Broadway Series, the balance of which will be announced at a later date.

FAIRWINDS Broadway Across America - Orlando season ticket holders will have the first chance to purchase tickets to THE BOOK OF MORMON on Tuesday, February 12 as part of their subscription package. The full schedule for the 2013-2014 season will be announced on February 11.

Producers Broadway Across America - Beth Williams, Howard & Janet Kagan and Barry Brown just announced casting for the world premiere production of the new musical TUCK EVERLASTING at Boston's Citi Performing Arts Center Emerson Colonial Theatre (106 Boylston Street) from July 28-August 18, 2013. The pre-Broadway production will feature (in alphabetical order): Fred Applegate (Sister Act) as 'Constable Joe,' Marylouise Burke (Fuddy Meers) as 'Nana,' Tony Award nominee Carolee Carmello (Scandalous) as 'Ma Tuck,' David Garrison (Titanic) as 'The Man In The Yellow Suit,' Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Newsies) as 'Jesse Tuck,' Daytime Emmy Award Winner Michael Park (How To Succeed…) as 'Pa Tuck,' Michael Wartella (The Kid) as 'Hugo,' and Valerie Wright (Elf) as 'Mother,' and will introduce Sadie Sink in the role of 'Winnie.'

The show grossed $2,107,505.00 for the week ending Sunday, January 20 at the Paramount Theatre. THE BOOK OF MORMON first broke the record the week of January 13, previously set by WICKED in 2009.

The show grossed $1,493,961 for the week ending December 16. THE BOOK OF MORMON began performances on December 11, 2012, with performances now extended through September 8, 2013.

The producers of the Tony-winning hit musical comedy NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT have announced that Tony Award nominee Brad Oscar will perform the role of ‘Cookie McGee' beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, January 8th during Michael McGrath's two month leave of absence. This reunites Mr. Oscar with Matthew Broderick for the first time since they starred together in the original cast of The Producers.

Broadway In Chicago and the producers of the new musical THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, announced today that tickets will be available for 14 additional weeks of performances of THE BOOK OF MORMON at the Bank of America Theatre (18 West Monroe). A new block of tickets for performances June 4 - September 8, 2013 will go on-sale to the public on Monday, January 7 at 10 a.m. Tickets are sold out through March 3, 2013, with some tickets still available March 5 - June 2, 2013.
