THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has broken the house record in Des Moines for the week ending February 3, 2013. The show broke the record at the Des Moines Civic Center grossing $1,563,897.00. THE BOOK OF MORMON breaks the record, previously set by WICKED in 2009.

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, debuts in Minnesota tonight, February 5-17, 2013 at Hennepin Theatre Trust's Orpheum Theatre for a limited engagement.

The new Broadway production of ANNIE celebrates its 100th performance on Saturday, February 2 at the Palace Theatre (Broadway at 47th Street). The cast of the acclaimed production will celebrate the milestone with cupcakes generously provided by Magnolia Bakery.

Mark Evans and Christopher John O'Neill just joined the cast of the national tour of The Book of Mormon as Elder Price and Elder Cunningham respectively. They replaced Gavin Creel and Jared Gertner who join the West End company at the Prince of Wales Theatre from February 25. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Tony nominee Rory O'Malley played his final performance in THE BOOK OF MORMON on January 27th. He'll be replaced by Matt Loehr, who takes over as Elder McKinley tonight, January 29.

The First National Tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, will play a strictly limited nine-day, 11-performance engagement from Saturday, October 12 through Sunday, October 20, 2013 at the Orpheum Theater, 409 South 16th St., Omaha, Nebraska. The production will open the 2013/2014 Omaha Performing Arts. Broadway Series, the balance of which will be announced at a later date.

FAIRWINDS Broadway Across America - Orlando announces the First National Tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, will headline the FAIRWINDS Broadway Across America - Orlando 2013-2014 season. FAIRWINDS Broadway Across America - Orlando season ticket holders will have the first chance to purchase tickets to THE BOOK OF MORMON on Tuesday, February 12 as part of their subscription package. The full schedule for the 2013-2014 season will be announced on February 11.

Producers Broadway Across America - Beth Williams, Howard & Janet Kagan and Barry Brown just announced casting for the world premiere production of the new musical TUCK EVERLASTING at Boston's Citi Performing Arts Center Emerson Colonial Theatre (106 Boylston Street) from July 28-August 18, 2013. The pre-Broadway production will feature (in alphabetical order): Fred Applegate (Sister Act) as 'Constable Joe,' Marylouise Burke (Fuddy Meers) as 'Nana,' Tony Award nominee Carolee Carmello (Scandalous) as 'Ma Tuck,' David Garrison (Titanic) as 'The Man In The Yellow Suit,' Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Newsies) as 'Jesse Tuck,' Daytime Emmy Award Winner Michael Park (How To Succeed…) as 'Pa Tuck,' Michael Wartella (The Kid) as 'Hugo,' and Valerie Wright (Elf) as 'Mother,' and will introduce Sadie Sink in the role of 'Winnie.'

The show grossed $1,493,961 for the week ending December 16. THE BOOK OF MORMON began performances on December 11, 2012, with performances now extended through September 8, 2013.

Today, Monday 14 January 2013, sees the start of rehearsals for the London production of The Book of Mormon, which previews at the Prince of Wales Theatre from 25 February 2013. The New York Times has reported that SOUTH PARK and BOOK OF MORMON creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have formed Important Studios, a new production company they plan to announce tomorrow.

Rory O'Malley has announced on his Facebook page today that he will be exiting the Tony-award winning musical BOOK OF MORMON. According to the post, his last performance will be on Sunday, January 27th.

The producers of the Tony-winning hit musical comedy NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT have announced that Tony Award nominee Brad Oscar will perform the role of ‘Cookie McGee' beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, January 8th during Michael McGrath's two month leave of absence. This reunites Mr. Oscar with Matthew Broderick for the first time since they starred together in the original cast of The Producers.

American Airlines is the official airline of the new critically acclaimed new production of the Tony Award-winning musical Annie. Cast members from the production performed a selection of songs from the show at Terminal 8 at John F. Broadway In Chicago and the producers of the new musical THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, announced today that tickets will be available for 14 additional weeks of performances of THE BOOK OF MORMON at the Bank of America Theatre (18 West Monroe). A new block of tickets for performances June 4 - September 8, 2013 will go on-sale to the public on Monday, January 7 at 10 a.m. Tickets are sold out through March 3, 2013, with some tickets still available March 5 - June 2, 2013.
