THE BOOK OF MORMON Breaks Pantages Theatre House Record

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, broke records in Los Angeles for the week ending October 21. The show broke the house record at the Pantages Theatre, grossing $2,246,093 for the week ending October 21, 2012 and achieving the highest gross in Los Angeles history for a standard 8-performance week.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Patrick Willingham) will begin previews for the New York premiere production of GIANT, an epic love story with book by Sybille Pearson and music and lyrics by Michael John LaChiusa, on Friday, October 26. Directed by Michael Greif, GIANT runs through Sunday, December 2 in The Public's Newman Theater at its Astor Place home, with an official press opening on Tuesday, November 13. Broadway In Chicago and the producers of the new musical THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards® including Best Musical, announced today there are some tickets still available March 5 - June 2, 2013 and due to popular demand, performances are now sold out December 11, 2012 - March 3, 2013 for THE BOOK OF MORMON at the Bank of America Theatre (18 West Monroe). Universal Pictures Stage Productions/ Glenn Ross, Beacon Communications/ Armyan Bernstein and Charlie Lyons and Executive Producers Kristin Caskey and Mike Isaacson announced today that Bring It On: The Musical will play the final performance of its limited engagement on Sunday, December 30, 2012, after 21 previews and 173 regular performances at Broadway's St. James Theatre.

The album, produced by Ghostlight Records and available on Back Lot Music, will be released for digital download on iTunes beginning September 25, 2012 and in stores October 16, 2012. The cast of Bring It On recorded the album at MSR Studios in New York City on August 9, 10 and 16, 2012 under the direction of Album Producers Alex Lacamoire, Tom Kitt and Kurt Deutsch.

The official opening night gala is this week, Wednesday September 12 at 7pm. Original Broadway cast member Jared Gertner stars as Elder Cunningham and Broadway star Gavin Creel stars as Elder Price.
