THE BLOODY DEED OF 1857 Returns To Colonnade Row For Limited Fall Run

After a sold-out workshop run in March, Paranormal History Productions returns to Colonnade Row with an official limited run of The Bloody Deed of 1857 for the autumn season. The immersive 90 minute play is an adaptation of news accounts which reported the breathless daily developments about a sensational murder that took place on nearby Bond Street. Elise Gainer, author of Ghosts and Murders of Manhattan, credits the nearby Merchant's House Museum with the idea to turn this true-life murder into a play. The work was selected as the featured piece in the Tectonic Theatre Project's Advanced Moment Work Master Class with Moises Kaufman in May 2017. Ken Davenport, the veteran Broadway producer, consulted on this unique immersive experience including script and overall project development.

Valerie McCaffrey's DIRTY BOMB, one of the great but largely untold stories from WWII is an Official Selection at the 14th Annual Hollyshorts Film Festival. at the TCL Chinese Theaters in Hollywood, Friday, August 17th at 2:30PM.  The festival runs August 9 -18. 2018.

Valerie McCaffrey's DIRTY BOMB, one of the great but largely untold stories from WWII, is in competition for Best Short Film at the Madrid International Film Festival.  Ido Samuel, the film's star, is up for Best Actor in a Short Film. The film will screen on Thursday, July 26th, at 7:15PM, at the Novotel Madrid Center, Screening Room 1.

She has cast over 100 films, including Oscar nominated film AMERICAN HISTORY X and BABE. Recently, she produced a film called LOST AND FOUND IN ARMENIA with Jamie Kennedy and Angela Sarafyan, a cancer documentary CANCER, IT'S IN THE SYSTEM in which she co-directed and co-produced with Cindy Pruitt and produced an award-winning film entitled NEO NED, starring Gabrielle Union and Jeremy Renner.

Since 1989, The American Pavilion has offered opportunities in Cannes for emerging filmmakers to have their work seen by Cannes Festival and Film Market Attendees.
