It's hard to believe that this production will mark Roundabout's first time bringing you the work of the great Oscar Wilde. Wilde is one of the best-known literary figures of the late Victorian period, yet many people don't realize how few theatrical works he left behind. In fact, the very social hypocrisies that he satirizes in Earnest contributed to the shortening of this famous wit's career.

This is a limited engagement through Sunday, March 6th, 2011.
Tony Award® winner Brian Bedford (Tartuffe) directs and stars as Lady Bracknell in Oscar Wilde's comedic masterpiece about class and name-dropping for the Roudabout Theatre Company. The cast of this glorious comedy also features Dana Ivey as Miss Prism and Paxton Whitehead as Reverend Chausible. The production runs from Dec. 17, 2010 - March 6, 2011 at the American Airlines Theatre.

Olympia Dukakis will lead a special production of Tennessee Williams' The Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore at the Harold and Miram Steinberg Center for Theatre in the Laura Pels Theatre in January. Anything Goes, starring Broadway darling Sutton Foster, sails into the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in March. Finally, Donna Murphy stars in the new musical, The People In The Picture, which will follow The Importance Of Being Earnest at the American Airlines Theatre in April.
