The BMI-Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop announces its Spring Smoker, a semi-annual showcase for new songs from Workshop writers. The event will be held in the 30th Floor Media Room of BMI's New York office at 7 World Trade Center/250 Greenwich Street tonight, April 26, at 5:30PM and is open to members of the entertainment industry as well as Workshop members. 'I found Pedro Rivas in New York; sent him back to his country, and made him President. My brains. My money. They think I'm only the new American Consul, but when they go to Rivas for a concession, he'll say, 'Have you seen Bowie?' I'm the Dictator of that Republic, and he knows it. I'm the kingmaker, the Warwick, the man behind the throne. Pedro Rivas can be President, but Colonel John T. Bowie is boss.'

The Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company, the recent recipient of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance's Achievement of Excellence Award for '30 years of celebrating America's heritage through productions and educational programs,' has its usual season filled with music, a radio show, classic gems and a world premiere. To celebrate ELTC's 30th birthday, the shows are a blend of old favorites and new discoveries.

Act II Playhouse in Ambler, PA will present the premiere of Magnetic North, by William Donnelly, directed by Bud Martin. The show will begin preview on October 21st, 2008 and officially open 24th. I will play through November 16th, 2008.

America's first literary hero - Natty Bumpo - comes to life on stage at The Spirit of Broadway Theater in Norwich, CT from March 5 - June 6, 2008 with the new musical Glimmerglass by Douglas J. Cohen, Ted Drachman and Jonathan Bolt.

Roundabout Theatre Company's limited engagement of Pygmalion will play its final performance on Sunday, December 16 at 2PM.

Roundabout Theatre Company's Pygmalion will begin previews this Friday, September 21 at 8PM. Pygmalion stars Claire Danes, Jefferson Mays, Boyd Gaines and Jay O. Sanders. This new Broadway production of George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion is directed by David Grindley at the American Airlines Theatre.
