Roundabout Theatre Company's NOISES OFF opened last night, January 14, 2016, for a limited engagement through Sunday, March 6, 2016, on Broadway at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway, and BroadwayWorld was there to capture the night. Judson Theatre Company (Morgan Sills, Executive Producer and Daniel Haley, Artistic Director) has announced the stars of their Fifth Anniversary Season: John Davidson in On Golden Pond and John Wesley Shipp in Twelve Angry Men. On Golden Pond opens Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 7:00 pm and runs through Sunday, March 27. Twelve Angry Men opens Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 7:00 pm and runs through Sunday, September 25. Judson Theatre Company performs exclusively at Owens Auditorium, located at 3395 Airport Road in Pinehurst.

To life! The Broadway revival of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF just opened Sunday night, December 20 at The Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway), wrapping up the 2015 Broadway season. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is directed by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher, and choreographed by Hofesh Shechter. Boyd Gaines, four-time Tony Winner (Gypsy, She Loves Me, Driving Miss Daisy), joins Julia Murney (Wicked, The Wild Party), veteran director Tony Walton, and Fundamental Theater Project in celebration of their honorary patron, Sir Peter Shaffer (Equus, Amadeus, Royal Hunt of the Sun) and in support of their mission of fostering emerging voices in the theater.

Just last night, the York Theatre Company honored Broadway and Hollywood legend Angela Lansbury with the 2015 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theatre. The evening's entertainment was directed by Kurt Stammc(York's Closer Than Ever; Our Sinatra), with music direction by Andrew Gerle (York's Closer Than Ever).

The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present the return of "We're Gonna Have To Ask You to Leave," a benefit concert to kick out cancer, on Monday, November 2 at 7pm. Scroll down for photos from the event!

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of DRACULA, the mystery-thriller about a young woman falling victim to a vampire, on Monday, November 16, at 7 p.m.  Director is Anne Keefe, Playhouse associate artist and curator of the playreading series. The play is dramatized by Hamilton Deane and John L. Balderston, from the novel by Bram Stoker.

Just last night, the American Theatre Wing hosted its annual Gala at The Plaza Hotel (Fifth Avenue at Central Park South), honoring legendary actor James Earl Jones. Mr. Jones is a two-time Tony Award winner, two-time Obie Award winner and alumnus of the American Theatre Wing Professional School. CeCe Black, Anki Leeds, and Marva Smalls will serve as Gala Chairs.

Vineyard Arts Project, a nonprofit performing arts residency center on Martha's Vineyard, has announced the cast and creative team of Flying Over Sunset, a new musical to be developed in residence in August.
