2019/2020 Productions Announced At The Pasadena Playhouse

Pasadena Playhouse Producing Artistic Director Danny Feldman announces four main stage productions for 2019/2020 including new productions of favorite musicals -  Little Shop of Horrors with book and lyrics by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken, directed by Mike Donahue, and Irving Berlin's Annie Get Your Gun with book by Herbert and Dorothy Fields, directed by Sarna Lapine - and  two plays - the Los Angeles premiere of Lauren Yee's The Great Leap directed by BD Wong, a co-production with East West Players, and Alfred Molina starring in the critically acclaimed West End and Broadway hit The Father by Florian Zeller and directed by Jessica Kubzansky. One more production and additional programming will be announced at a later date.

Meet The Cast Of Off Broadway's THE BIGOT

THE BIGOT, the new hot topic play by Gabi and Eva Mor that will have a full Off-Broadway run at the Theatre at St. Clement's  will have its first preview on (423 West 46th Street) April 26 - just two weeks away. HURRICANE SLEEP - A New Play Announced At IATI Theater

IATI Theater in a co-production with The Box Collective presents Hurricane Sleep, a new female-centered experimental play about trauma and how healing begins with the most intimate self to reverberate through dimensions of time and being, written and co-directed by Andrea Goldman.  Julia Watt and Goldman co-direct a cast of five, including George Bass*, Shashwat Gupta, Neysa Lozano, Rachel Schmeling and Heaven Stephens*.  Ten performances will be staged at IATI Theater from May 2-12, 2019.

NNPN Announces Rolling World Premiere of WOLF PLAY by Hansol Jung

National New Play Network, the country's alliance of nonprofit theaters that collaborate in innovative ways to develop, produce, and extend the life of new plays, announces its 88th Rolling World Premiere (RWP):  Wolf Play by Hansol Jung. The play was commissioned by Artists Rep and begins its Roll there this Sunday, March 10 in Portland, OR (running through April 7, 2019).

ELAN Ensemble has announced its inaugural production, the world premiere of How We're Different from Animals, based on short stories from "No One Belongs Here More Than You" by Miranda July. Under the direction of Ovation Award nominee Jonathan Muñoz-Proulx (One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest), the production is set to open on Friday, February 22, at 8pm and run through March 24 only at the Atwater Village Theatre.

LA Opera Announces 2019/20 Season

San Diego Repertory Theatre announced today the cast and creative team for the fourth production in their 43rd season, Julia Cho's Aubergine. Directed by San Diego REP Associate Artistic Director Todd Salovey, Aubergine is an unforgettable story of love, family and the healing power of food. Performances run January 24 - February 17, 2019, in the Lyceum Space Theatre. Tickets start at $25 and are currently on sale to the general public.
