Just before rehearsals began, Education Dramaturg Ted Sod sat down with Roundabout Resident Director Doug Hughes to talk about The Big Knife.

The Big Knife, written by Clifford Odets and directed by Doug Hughes begins performances this week.

In the golden age of Hollywood cinema, actors may have all the glory, but studio execs have all the power. The Hoff-Federated studio has had its most successful star, Charlie Castle (Bobby Cannavale) , over a barrel ever since it helped cover up a mistake that could have ended his career. When a woman with insider knowledge threatens to come forward, the studio heads will stop at nothing to protect Charlie's secret... but how far is he willing to go before he quits the movie business for good?

The evening was a celebration of the company's artistic achievements under Artistic Director Todd Haimes' 30 years of leadership and the future ahead. BroadwayWorld.com was there to capture the stars as they arrived for a great night of entertainment!

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) has just announced a one-week extension of Lanford Wilson's Pulitzer Prize winning play Talley's Folly, starring Danny Burstein as "Matt Friedman" and Sarah Paulson as "Sally Talley", directed by Michael Wilson. The limited engagement has been extended to May 12, 2013 at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street).

It was just announced that C.J. Wilson has joined the company of Roundabout Theatre Company's The Big Knife to play the role of 'Hank Teagle.' C.J. Wilson replaces Adam Rapp who departed the production due to scheduling conflicts. Rehearsals for the production began February 19th and performances will begin on March 22.

Our Time - a non-profit organization that has been helping children who stutter for over a decade - will hold its 11th Annual Benefit Gala, Worth the Wait, celebrating the bravery and achievements of young people who stutter as well as those who inspire their success. This event comes just one year after the organization honored Offensive Lineman Matt Slauson of the New York Jets, and two years after honoring David Seidler, the Academy Award-winning writer of The King's Speech, whose film changed the landscape for people who stutter around the world. The event has become an annual favorite for a number of celebrities, philanthropists, artists, and social advocates including former NEA Chair and award-winning actress Jane Alexander who has said: 'The word has gotten out that this is the best show in town. I go to a lot of galas, but this is the one I always want to go to, bar none.'

The Tony Awards Administration Committee met today for the second time this season to decide the eligibility of 14 Broadway productions for the 2013 American Theatre Wing's Tony Awards, presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. The Tony Awards Administration Committee will meet a total of four times throughout the 2012-2013 season to decide the eligibility for the 2013 Tony Awards.

San Francisco Playhouse Bill English, Artistic Director and Susi Damilano, Producing Director start the new year off with a bang. Continuing the company's Tenth Season, now in their new venue at 450 Post Street, San Francisco Playhouse presents the West Coast premiere of the the raucous comedy,The Motherf**ker with the Hat, directed by Bill English. The show has added a matinee performance this Sunday, February 17 at 2 p.m.
