The Actors' Gang's new musical production of Harlequino: On to Freedom will have its U.S. Premiere in March, as part of the theater's 2017 Spring Season of Justice. Written and directed by Tim Robbins, the new musical combines Commedia dell'Arte, Shakespearean tragedy, live music and sophisticated comedy to produce a dialectic on the meaning of freedom. The musical had its European Premiere at the Spoleto Festival, in Italy, and it subsequently toured to Shanghai and Beijing where it was censored by government officials. Harlequino: On to Freedom begins previews Thursday, March 16, opens onSaturday, March 18 and runs through May 6, 2017, at The Actors' Gang Theatre, in Culver City.

Playwright, Donald Tongue of Londonderry, and long time actor with Leddy, has written a timely political comedy that examines the ups and downs of presidential campaigns. The story revolves around two candidates, Bob Roberts and John McCoy, who emerge as the winners of the Iowa Caucuses, and eagerly head east for the next round in the presidential election season - the first in the nation New Hampshire primary. Their political fortunes are on the rise, and another victory will put them well on their way to winning their party's' nomination. All would seem to be going well for the McCoy and Roberts campaigns, until an unscripted candid moment leaves them fighting for more than their political survival.

Nora's Playhouse will present the World Premiere of Laurence Leamer's solo play about Rose Kennedy, ROSE, at Theatre Row's Clurman Theatre, 410 West 43nd Street, NYC, beginning November 21st, opening November 29th and continuing through December 13, 2015. Award-winning stage, film and TV actress Kathleen Chalfant will play Mrs. Kennedy under the direction of Caroline Reddick Lawson. Jane Greenwood is designing the costumes with scene design/projections by Anya Klepikov, lighting by Caitlin Rapoport and sound design by Jane Shaw
