Comix at Foxwoods presents its final round of this year's “Last Comix Standing” comedy competition, which begins Sunday, October 12 at 8:00 p.m.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is extending invitations to join the organization to 271 artists and executives who have distinguished themselves by their contributions to theatrical motion pictures. Those who accept the invitations will be the only additions to the Academy's membership in 2014.

The 'American Comedy Awards' aired last night, Thursday, May 8 (9-11 p.m. ET/PT) on NBC. The awards honor those who have achieved new heights during the past year in both film and television and pay tribute to some of comedy's most enduring personalities.

NBC and Don Mischer Productions announced today the nominations for the 'American Comedy Awards,' airing May 15 (9-11 p.m. ET/PT) on NBC.

The 86th Annual Academy Awards, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, are tonight, March 2, 2014, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center, and televised live on the ABC Television Network.

Film Independent, the nonprofit arts organization that produces the Spirit Awards and the Los Angeles Film Festival, handed out top honors to 12 Years a Slave, Dallas Buyers Club and Nebraska at this afternoon's 29th Film Independent Spirit Awards. Sharon is an active member of SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators) and serves as the Assistant Regional Advisor for SCBWI AZ. Mirabella and the Faded Phantom (2014) is her first middle-grade paranormal.
