In preparation of a possible Broadway opening, BroadwayWorld brings you a recap of the show's success in both San Diego's La Jolla Playhouse and Washington D.C.'s Kennedy Center!

According to The New York Times, three sources in the theater industry have confirmed that producers of the re-imagined production, currently playing The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts through July 13, are in talks to bring the show to Broadway - as early as this fall.

La Jolla Playhouse, in association with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, has announced casting for its re-imagining of Henry Krieger (music) and Bill Russell's (book and lyrics) Side Show, produced in association with the Kennedy Center. Helmed by Academy Award-winning director Bill Condon and choreographed by Anthony Van Laast, the production will run in the Playhouse's Mandell Weiss Theatre November 5 - December 15, 2013 and will run in the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater June 14 - July 13, 2014. The new Broadway production of JEKYLL & HYDE, starring Constantine Maroulis and Deborah Cox, plays its final performance today, May 12, 2013, after 15 previews and 30 regular performances at the Marquis Theatre. Direct from a 25-week national tour which launched in October 2012, JEKYLL & HYDE began previews on Broadway on April 5 and opened on April 18, 2013.
