Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre Trust has today, (Thu 26 Oct) announced Catherine Mallyon as its new Chair.

Headlong has begun recruitment for the next wave of Headlong Origins Directors. The programme, which forms part of the company's commitment to supporting the next generation of theatre makers, looks to celebrate and nurture early career directors from throughout the UK, outside of London.

Following a sell-out success and one of the most talked about theatrical events of 2023 with Black Sabbath - The Ballet, Birmingham Royal Ballet returns to the beloved classics with a 2024 UK tour of Sir Peter Wright's sumptuous staging of The Sleeping Beauty in the production's 40th anniversary year.

Society of London Theatre & UK Theatre have launched the “Theatre for Every Child campaign” ahead of the next general election. They are asking for politicians to commit that every child will attend the theatre before they leave school.
