Paperclip Ltd, the production company co-founded by Yeardley Smith and Ben Cornwell, announces today that principal photography has begun on “Gossamer Folds,” a feature-length drama co-produced by Paperclip Ltd and Mill House Motion Pictures. The film tells the story of Gossamer, a transgender woman, who befriends her new neighbor, Tate. The friendship changes his life and the lives of their families, forever. The project will be directed by award-winning filmmaker and queer advocate Lisa Donato (Signature Move, There You Are, The Great Now What).

Comedian Nicky Paris has been tapped as the red carpet host for the 5th Annual Burbank Comedy Festival featuring Jeff Garlin, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Daniel Franzese, the Cast of Animaniacs and over 200 of the hottest comedic talents from around the globe. The Official Trailer for Disenchantment kicked off the panel for the highly anticipated new series from Matt Groening at San Diego Comic Con 2018 on Saturday, July 21st at 5:30 PM PT. The trailer features a medieval inspired re-recording of David Bowie's hit song“Rebel Rebel.” Allie Goertz (MAD Magazine / Everything's Coming Up Simpsons podcast) moderated the panel discussion that followed with creator Matt Groening, showrunner Josh Weinstein and cast Eric Andre, Nat Faxon, John DiMaggio, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, and David Herman along with Claudia Katz from Rough Draft animation studio.

In Disenchantment, viewers will be whisked away to the crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland, where they will follow the misadventures of hard-drinking young princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo, and her personal demon Luci. Along the way, the oddball trio will encounter ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and lots of human fools.

Netflix, the world's leading internet TV network, has ordered twenty episodes of DISENCHANTMENT, an adult animated comedy fantasy series from the mind of Matt Groening.

Live @ Peck Pavilion and Peck Flicks returns to the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts grounds this summer. The season will run from July 6 through August 26 and each day of the series will have a different program focus. This year, Optimist Theatre: Shakespeare in the Park will join the line up on July 6-9, July 13-16 and July 20-22 at 8 pm with a performance on July 18 at 12 pm and they will present Much Ado About Nothing.  All the events in Peck Pavilion will all be free and open to the public.

DECADES Network, the multicast TV network from Weigel Broadcasting Co. and CBS Television Stations, announces a special four-day tribute to the slapstick comic legacy of The Three Stooges. The event is scheduled to air Monday, August 29 through Thursday, September 1, in honor of the 33rd anniversary of The Three Stooges receiving their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. To celebrate, DECADES will present the broadcast television premiere of a nine-part Three Stooges documentary HEY MOE! HEY DAD!, as well as a collection of The Three Stooges movies.
