Eryc Taylor Dance (ETD) will join Bryant Park's Contemporary Dance Program with three of their most popular repertory works on Friday, June 22. The program is from 6-8pm, with Eryc Taylor presenting at 6:45pm. Bryant Park is located behind the New York Public Library in Midtown Manhattan, between 40th and 42nd Streets & Fifth and Sixth Avenues. The annual Bryant Park dance series will feature acclaimed contemporary dance choreographers on five back-to-back summer Fridays in June and July; open to the public, there is no admission charge. Hologram USA Networks Inc. today announced the date for the launch of its new hologram stage show, Higher & Higher: The Jackie Wilson Story. The show, from the leader of hologram technology founded by Greek billionaire Alki David, tracks the wild life of the R&B star, dubbed Mr. Excitement, all the way to the end when Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley paid his hospital bills. In the same 30-minute narrative format that Hologram USA pioneered with its successful show, Billie Holiday Alive!, the new show dramatizes scenes from the legend's life--including the sex, drugs and rock & roll-- in addition to presenting his stage presence in all its glory.

According to Variety, Lee Daniels is in talks to direct the Billie Holiday biopic “Billie.” Sources also add that R&B singer Andra Day is the top choice for the title role and Lakeith Stanfield for the male role, though nothing is yet finalized.

After making her debut with Dominion Entertainment (DEG) in the sell-out holiday classic 'Black Nativity,' actress and singer Terry Burrell is returning to the stage. This summer, Burrell will play the audacious preacher's wife, Mabel, in DEG's production of 'Crowns.' The gospel musical by Golden Globe winning playwright Regina Taylor will run May 30 - June 10, at the Fulton County Southwest Arts Center Performance Theater & Gallery.
