Scream Factory, Shout! Factory's horror genre entertainment imprint, and Chiller announced today the principal cast for the upcoming original horror thriller FENDER BENDER, written by writer/director Mark Pavia (Stephen King's THE NIGHT FLIER). 

SundanceTV announced today that multiple Emmy(R) nominee Christina Hendricks ('Mad Men') has joined the cast of its newest original scripted series 'Hap and Leonard.'

Principal photography has been completed for a feature length version of the award winning short film 'AWOL,' now starring Lola Kirke, who recently co-starred in 'Mistress America' appeared in 'Gone Girl' and has been named one of Variety's Top Ten Actors to Watch in 2015.

Adding to its robust international sales slate on the eve of the AFM, Lightning Entertainment announced today and it has acquired international sales rights to Louis Mandylor's thriller “The Blackout” and Brookstreet Pictures' horror thriller “GirlHouse,”

The impressive screen actor Bill Sage, who made his debut in the films of Hal Hartley, is starring in the acclaimed new horror thriller, We Are What We Are. On this occasion, Museum of the Moving Image presents Bill Sage: Then and Now, two special screenings on consecutive evenings, each followed by conversations with Sage and filmmakers:Simple Men (1992) with director Hal Hartley, co-star Robert Burke, and Sage in person on Monday, September 23, at 7:00 p.m. and a preview screening of We Are What We Are (2013) with director Jim Mickle and Sage in person on Tuesday, September 24, at 7:00 p.m. See below for descriptions and ticket information.

Ridgewood Filmmaker Caytha Jentis's film, Bad Parents, is a satirical comedy inspired by her own experiences in North Jersey about the over-zealous parents on an under 8 girls club soccer team. It takes a poke at the world of over-obsessed parents in soccer, though the theme is so Universal that any parent of a child athlete may realize 'I'm That Parent!' Bad Parents has been premiering throughout the country and is coming home to the Ridgewood Clearview Warner Quad, 190 East Ridgewood Avenue in Ridgewood, NJ for (4) 7:30 pm showings on January 23rd, 24th, 30th and 31st. An edited version children will enjoy will be shown on January 24th at 5pm. A Special Red Carpet Event will be held on Opening Night only, tonight, January 23rd, at 6:30pm in the lobby. Scheduled to appear are: Reiko Aylesworth from Bad Parents (also Hawaii 5-0, 24), Emmy Winning Actress/Producer Martha Byrne, Jaqueline Madden (of VH1) and other special guests.

Sundance Institute announced today the films selected to screen in the 2013 Sundance Film Festival out-of-competition sections Spotlight, Park City at Midnight and New Frontier, as well as the installations and performances to be featured in the Festival's New Frontier venue. The Festival takes place January 17-27 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah.

Mark Blum has joined the cast of The New Group's The Good Mother, written by Francine Volpe and directed by Scott Elliott. He joins Darren Goldstein, Gretchen Mol, Alfredo Narciso and Eric Nelsen in the premiere of this new play, replacing the previously announced Bill Sage, who had to withdraw due to a scheduling conflict prior to start of rehearsals. Mark Blum's Broadway credits include Gore Vidal's The Best Man, Twelve Angry Men, A Thousand Clowns, Lost in Yonkers, and more. He has appeared previously at The New Group in Wallace Shawn and Allen Shawn's play/opera The Music Teacher, among others.

Montclair, NJ, October 3, 2012: 'Bad Parents,' a feature film starring the comedic talents of Janeane Garofalo, Christopher Titus, Cheri Oteri, Michael Boatman, Ben Bailey and Kristen Johnston will have its red carpet world premiere on October 3rd at the Bellevue Theater in Montclair, NJ in association with the Montclair Film Festival. Janeane Garofalo, who grew up in Madison, NJ and Morristown resident and Emmy award winning comedian Ben Bailey will walk the red carpet as well as writer/director/producer and New Jersey resident Caytha Jentis. Additional guests will be announced as the event approaches.
