Five days before the Passover holiday begins, Michael Dorf, the founder and CEO of City Winery will be bringing together 20 musicians, comedians, political thinkers, activists and more into an unprecedented mix and interpretation of the ancient holiday which transcends Judaism and takes the Passover story of tyrants harboring lethal hatred for outsiders and immigrants, the liberation struggles, the history of oppression, bigotry and antisemitism and makes it relevant for our times. Dorf started this event at the Knitting Factory in 1993.

'Power' pushes the TSM sound to new celestial limits - Interstellar synths and drum n’ bass inspired breakbeats are mediated by Teruko’s ethereal vocals with the fire and passion of Bettye Lavette and tight rhythm of The JB’s. The 18th annual Music Of fundraising performance, The Music Of Paul McCartney, proudly welcomes to the already star-studded roster Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Graham Nash (The Hollies, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young), multi-Grammy Award-winning pop-rock artist Bruce Hornsby, alt-rock icon Natalie Merchant (solo and 10,000 Maniacs), Sammy Rae, the extraordinary front woman of  Sammy Rae & the Friends and indie-folk rocker Jonathan Russell of The Head and the Heart.

The 18nd Annual Music Of fundraising performance, produced by Michael Dorf Presents, will spotlight the work of Paul McCartney and take place March 15, 2023 at one of the world’s most venerated venues, Carnegie Hall.

Pierre van der Westhuizen, Executive and Artistic Director of The Irving S. Gilmore International Piano Festival, have announced the appointment of Grammy Award-winning producer Seth Abramson as Director of Jazz Awards.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic is presenting a summer of jazz, funk, blues, and more at the Hollywood Bowl and The Ford. Upcoming performances include a tribute to Peggy Lee and Frank Sinatra at the Hollywood Bowl (July 27), Les Claypool’s Bastard Jazz at The Ford (July 29), and many more. 

Millennium Stage, now celebrating its 25th  season, is a manifestation of the Kennedy Center’s mission and vision to welcome all to celebrate our collective cultural heritage in the most inclusive and accessible way possible. Millennium Stage will offer a free film and live programming, streamed live, Wednesday–Saturday each week during the summer.

In May and June, experience Latin music pianist Eddie Palmieri, trailblazing trumpeter Bria Skonberg and global guitar virtuoso Jesse Cook at the South Orange Performing Arts Center.

Echoing “An American Pageant for the Arts,” the 1962 fundraising telecast for the National Cultural Center hosted by Leonard Bernstein, one of Falletta’s early teachers, this special celebration will be hosted by Tony Award® winner Audra McDonald with special guest Caroline Kennedy. Falletta will share the podium with conductors Steven Reineke and Thomas Wilkins.

Music at the Intersection takes place at six venues throughout the Grand Center Arts District, including the Fabulous Fox Theatre, The Big Top, The Sheldon Concert Hall, The Grandel Theatre, Jazz St. Louis and The Open Air VIP Tent at The Dark Room.
